Drug description (Actovegin): coated, glazy, round, double radius tablets of green-yellow color.
Indications and usage:
– Metabolic and vascular disorders of brain (including ischaemic stroke, traumatic brain injury);
– Peripheral vascular disorders (arterial and venous) and their after-effects (arterial angiopathy, trophic ulcers);
– Diabetic polyneuropathy;
Dosage and administration:
PO, 1-2 tablets 3 times/day before meals. Rinse the tablet with small amount of water, do not chew it. Treatment duration – 4-6 weeks.
Diabetic polyneuropathy – Actovegin is administered in form of intravenous injections (2000 mg/day for 3 weeks), then – peroral administration in form of tablets (2-3 tablets 3 times/day for 4-5 months).

Pregnancy and lactation period: with vigilance in pregnant and breast-feeding women.
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to drug components. With vigilance: II-III degree cardiac insufficiency, pulmonary edema, oliguria, anuria, excessive hydration, pregnancy and lactation period.
Adverse effects: allergic reactions: nettle rash, edema, drug fever.
Precautions: in case of allergic reactions Actovegin should be immediately withdrawn. Treatment: antihistaminic drugs and/or GC.
Store in a light-proof and dry place. Do not store above 25 °С. Keep out of reach of children.
