Indications and usage: collapse; asphyxia (incl. in newborn infants); collapse of various origin; intoxication with sleeping drugs, narcotic drugs, barbituates and other drugs that depress CNS; disturbed circulation associated with infectious diseases; disturbed circulation associated with noninfectious diseases (incl. chronic vasodepression); respiratory disturbance; faintness.
Dosage and administration:
Adults: 15-40 drops 2-3 times a day or 1-2 ml for subdermal/intravenous/intramuscular administration 2-3 times a day.
Children: the number of drops is equal to the number of years, 2-3 times a day or 0,1-0,75 ml depending on the age for subdermal/ intravenous/intramuscular administration 2-3 times a day.
Maximum dose for adults – 2 ml, daily dose – 6 ml.
Intravenous injections should be made very slowly.
Drops are administered regardless of the meal.
To reduce pain sensations prior administration of procaine is possible.
Adverse effects: fits, restlessness, convulsive tic, hyperemia of face and the upper half of the body, nausea, vomiting, allergic reactions (incl. skin itching, rash, nettle rash).
Contraindications: hypersensitivity to medication components; underlying risk for epilepsy, epileptic seizures in past medical history; pregnancy and lactation period; hyperthermia in children.
Overdosage: tonicoclonic fits, nervous excitement, increased arterial pressure. Intravenous administration of aminophylline is recommended.
Preparation for injections in ampules (1 or 2 ml). There are 10 ampules in a package.
Preparation for oral administration (30 ml in a bottle). 1 bottle in a pasteboard package.
Store in a light-proof and dry place, at a temperature of 10-25 °С . Keep out of reach of children.
